Hi! Thank you so much for coming to my commissions page! I will be creating a Simplified Commission Page in the future so commissioners can see my prices and policies at a glance, but for now I will have this up. Feel free to ask me about any uncertainties in my Instagram or Amino DMs!
Because I am a full time university student, the finished artwork (1) will take 3 days ~ 2 weeks (without background up to simple abstract background; a fully rendered non-abstract background will take 1 week ~ 2 months) to fully complete depending on the workload I get. It can be earlier than that if workload is light or if my time happened to be good, but it will not be later than that. I also apologize if I have slow correspondence, but on a fairly regular basis I’ll show you the artwork to essentially ask what you think and if you think it’s going well or needs some changes. As for my commissions, for those who are commissioning me on Amino, I do NOT accept Amino Coins; that would be a “request” for me since you can earn them for free; however, I think the prices should be reasonable for the amount of work that goes into them.
I only accept payment through PayPal and the e-mail I use for that is my:
ayanelemon2@gmail.com
account, and I will be sending the main invoice and the “extra costs” invoice (for drawn changes/revisions) from that account to whatever e-mail account you specify.
Commission Payment Info and Process
So as for the commission itself, it depends on the level of “finish” you want. The main invoice would be sent after we work out what you initially want. Any changes will be charged on top of that in a separate invoice done after all the changes you have requested are finalized and the artwork is finished. So, you would have 1 ~ 2 invoices from me ultimately.
The main invoice needs to be paid 50% upfront; the rest would need to be paid within three weeks of being commissioned. So, if you were commissioning a sketch (and the sketch was the final commission) that looks something like this:

You would pay $5 upfront for the total $10 (each UNIQUE character; if I was drawing say, just Jack here (even if multiple times), that would be $10. Him being drawn multiple times doesn’t currently affect the price. More will be explained later) this would be worth.
The second invoice (if present) in the case of any extra costs for revisions and changes would need to be paid in the same way (50% upfront and the rest within 3 weeks).
To be clear, any change or deviation from the original plan we had in mind for the commission can potentially be considered an “extra cost” and put in the potential second invoice. I will specify to you what “extra costs” there might be when I see the commission.
For a "cel-shaded" illustration like this one (Style Name: Bleeding Cel-Shading), it would be $25 ($15 for sketching + thumbnailing and $10 for finishing that into a colored illustration with shading. Without cel shading the full cost would be $20). We would discuss the majority of things (be specific!) in detail when I first get the commission such as what colors you want, what characters you want in it, subject matter, detail level, etc. As another note, the $25 cost for the theoretical Louis “commission” is for if there’s no background. If you add in an extra UNIQUE character it is $5 per extra character.

As for the process, I would first send three thumbnail sketches of potential compositions kind of like this:

(This was a request and they already had the background planned out for me so that’s why there’s not a background sketch)
All edits, revisions, or additions (like a background) to the existing thumbnails are for free. If I have to make new thumbnails after these, it is $1.67 for the first extra change, the price doubling for each consecutive change (so for 3 extra changes, it would be $1.67 + $3.34 + $6.68, totaling $11.69 for the extra changes). These can be produced relatively quickly, so expect correspondence within the same day to the next day.
Next, I would show you a refined rough version with a background. I could also start to do simple color comps as well and we could discuss more so that the intangible becomes a little more tangible.

Next, I would progress into the coloring stage, I would do the:
1. Flats for the characters:

2. The background (in sections; I do the background rendering before the characters so I can decide what the lighting in the scene is supposed to be; you can ask for non-drawing related color or composition changes (a composition change is like moving the position of one of the strawberries or the hearts or something like that where I don’t have to redraw) for free three times; after that, it is $2.50 for the first extra change, the price doubling for each consecutive change (so for 3 extra changes, it would be $2.50 + $5 + $10, totaling $17.50 for the extra changes):

3. Then I would do the shading/rendering/lighting on the characters:

4. And finally any filters or subtle color edits (such as an overlayed paper texture or noise texture along with color/value adjustements):

Backgrounds
For no background (white or perfect gray, Hex Code #FFFFFF or #808080), it is free of charge. It would be most helpful if any background being included were discussed before I start on the flats for the characters.
Examples of “no background:”

A simple, flat color background is only $1 and changes to the color are completely free:

A simple, abstract background costs $5 and the first three revisions are free, starting at $2.50 for the first extra change, the price doubling for each consecutive change:

A non-abstract simple background costs $20. Expect the background to have loose linework. The first three revisions are free, with $5 for the first extra change, the price doubling for each consecutive change:

And a complex, fully rendered (painted) background costs $50~$200 with $10 for the first extra change, the price tripling for each consecutive change. These are so expensive because they take me anywhere from 3~20 hours to complete:
